Description
What is the Ravana Trilogy?
The Ravana Trilogy consists of three books. First came ‘The Legend of Ravana’.
This is a prehistoric novel, set around 3,000 BCE in the Indian subcontinent. It is a credible alternative explanation of how Ravana acquired his capabilities, to that described in the ‘Ramayana’, written by Valmiki around 500 BCE.
The second book is titled ‘Luxmi’. It is a sequel that tells the story of the faithful Queen’s maid who was gifted half of Lanka by Lady Sita, in gratitude for her services. It relates how Luxmi managed to deal with her new responsibilities. Set in ancient Lanka, it includes true life experiences relevant even to this day and a challenging trek from the mountains to the sea.
The third book is titled ‘Flight from Maldek’. It is a thought provoking science fiction prequel which uncovers the origins of Ravana’s legend, not the beginning of Ravana, but the beginning of everything that made Ravana possible.
Every fictional novel has some basis of truth and so it is with these three books
